Vivo, a prominent Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is all set to introduce its latest flagship smartphone model, the Vivo X100 series. In November last year, Vivo made its foray into the world of photography-focused flagship handsets with the Vivo X90 series. Now, the company is gearing up to reboot the X-series with the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro.
Camera Specifications Leaked Ahead of Official Launch
Prior to the official launch, a Chinese tipster on Weibo revealed camera details for the upcoming Vivo X100 series. As per the leaked information, the regular Vivo X100 is set to include a primary camera sensor, the Sony IMX920, in its rear camera arrangement. It will also be equipped with a Samsung JN1 lens for capturing wide-angle shots and an OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera, providing 3x optical zoom capabilities.
In contrast, the Vivo X100 Pro is anticipated to feature a 1-inch primary camera sensor, the Sony IMX989, delivering an enhanced photography experience with a telephoto shooter offering an impressive 4.3x optical zoom.

What Sets the X100 Series Apart?
The Vivo X100 series is expected to be the first in the world to feature the power-efficient LPDDR5T (LPDDR5 Turbo) RAM, boasting a turbocharged data rate of 5. This is a significant advancement, as it outperforms the LPDDR5X DRAM that is currently found in flagship smartphones.
Both the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek 9300 chipset and come equipped with UFS 4.0 storage. Moreover, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to be launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, marking a notable addition to the lineup.
Expanding the X-Series Legacy
Vivo had previously launched the Vivo X90 series in China, including the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+, and later made its way to the Indian market in April of the same year. The Vivo X90 Pro is priced at Rs. 84,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the Vivo X90, available in India, comes with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, priced at Rs. 59,999. Vivo has recently adjusted the pricing for the Pro model.
